Beyond Business Hours Podcast

A podcast that dives deep into the lives of business leaders beyond just business.

Overview

Beyond Business Hours is a podcast series I conceptualized and brought to life to spotlight the untold stories of entrepreneurs, creators, and leaders not just about their work, but who they are beyond the boardroom.®

The podcast dives into themes of purpose, resilience, creativity, and future thinking all from a human-first lens.

Problem

Most business podcasts stick to surface-level metrics - funding rounds, scale, and exits. But rarely do we get a glimpse into the mindset, motivations, or vulnerabilities of the people driving those decisions. I wanted to break that mold and build a platform that feels both inspiring and personal.

Rohan Raj Barua, Co-founder of EMB Global, had initially started a podcast under the name EMBytes. While the intent was strong, the execution lacked structure and quality, making it feel more like an afterthought. I suggested that if we’re going to build a podcast, let’s do it right from the ground up, with a proper format, production quality, and a clear vision.





In a saturated content ecosystem, I wanted to build a property that felt authentic, cinematic, and insightful without looking like just another podcast. The challenge was to craft something from scratch: a new brand identity, a studio setup, guest outreach strategy, production planning, and a format that felt fresh but still deeply structured.

Approach

I approached this project the same way I handle most creative builds - by doing a little bit of everything.

I ideated the format structure (with sections like WTF: What’s the Future, FYI: For Your Inspiration, and BYOB: Build Your Own Business), locked the visual identity, handled shoot logistics, designed the podcast set, edited the content, and even personally reached out to guests. Each episode was designed to feel warm, sharp, and insightful.


We hosted some of the most inspiring names from the industry including Suhail Sameer (Ex-CEO, BharatPe), Amit Kumar (CEO, OLX India), Vikas Gupta (CEO, VLCC), Shivam Shahi (Co-founder, Blue Tokai), Geetansh Bamania (Founder, RentoMojo). Each guest brings their own unique story, offering insights from years of experience and a deep understanding of what it takes to build and lead in today’s world.

Result

We successfully positioned Beyond Business Hours as the flagship content IP for the brand.

Beyond Business Hours emerged as a breakout content IP, crossing 150K+ views on full-length YouTube episodes. The series helped build strong brand credibility by attracting top-tier guests and opening doors to high-value conversations. With over 4.5 million impressions across LinkedIn and Instagram reels, the podcast significantly boosted brand visibility and positioned the team as serious players in the business content space. Also, it attracted collaboration opportunities with other content platforms and podcast networks
